The black/gold combination is less obtrusive than pure gold and makes the luminaire a deliberate design element. Particularly against dark walls, exposed concrete or wood panelling, a high-end contrast emerges. Combine with other brass details in the room (fittings, hardware, accessories) for a coherent overall look.
No, the gold-coloured finish is a UV-stable coating or electroplated layer - not real brass patina. The colour remains stable throughout the lifetime. Clean only with a soft cloth, no aggressive cleaners.
Gold harmonises best with warm light (2700K-3000K). Cool white light (4000K+) makes the gold surface appear cooler and greyer. For premium interiors we consistently recommend 2700K or 3000K.
