Huddle room (4–6 people)

A single pendant or two recessed downlights centered over the small table is usually enough. If the room is regularly used for video calls, prefer pendants — the directional light keeps faces evenly lit without harsh shadows.

Standard meeting room (8–12 people)

A row of two or three pendants over the table, plus four to six recessed downlights around the perimeter, handles both task lighting at the table and ambient fill. The exact luminaire count depends on ceiling height, room geometry and the standards applicable to your space — we are happy to do the planning with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between meeting room and conference room lighting?+

In practice very little — the requirements overlap heavily (low glare, neutral colour, dimmable). "Conference room" tends to imply a larger or more formal space; "meeting room" is the more general term. VYSN's product range covers both with the same families.

Do video calls need special lighting?+

They need even, frontal light on faces — not above-and-behind. A pendant centered over the meeting table delivers this naturally. Recessed downlights directly above seated people create racoon-eye shadows from the brow ridge; offset them slightly forward of where people sit, or supplement with a pendant.
