Lighting solutions
Outdoor recessed spotlights install flush in soffits and overhangs to deliver downward task and accent lighting. Unlike indoor recessed spots, they need to handle rain ingress, UV exposure and temperature swings from –20 °C to +40 °C. VYSN outdoor recessed fittings are IP65 minimum, use die-cast aluminium housings with marine-grade gaskets, and are designed for direct 230 V wiring (no separate transformer needed for most models).

Recessed gives the cleanest aesthetic — the soffit looks unbroken with just a flush bezel and the light source. Surface-mounted is the alternative for situations where you can't cut into the soffit material (e.g. solid timber overhang, finished concrete). Recessed always needs a hollow space behind the soffit — for typical overhangs that's the gap between the rafters or the suspended exterior ceiling.
Yes — indoor recessed cutouts are usually 68–90 mm, the same range as outdoor IP65 fixtures. As long as the cutout matches and the wiring is rated for the location (outdoor cabling needs UV-resistant insulation), you can swap one for the other.
Yes when specified with marine-grade stainless steel components (A4 / 316L). VYSN coastal-rated fixtures use anodised aluminium housings and A4 stainless screws. For full salt-spray rating ask about the coastal variant of any model.
