Recessed, surface or corner?

Recessed profiles are installed flush in drywall, wood or plaster - the LED disappears into the surface. Surface profiles are mounted on top, ideal for retrofitting or when recessing is not possible. Corner profiles for 45° or 90° transitions in shelves, cabinets or stair profiles. All with opaque or satin diffuser - satin diffuses more, opaque lets more lumens through.

Which LED strip width fits the profile?+

VYSN profiles fit common strip widths of 8-12mm. See the product page under "inner dimension" or "strip width". For 10mm strips you can install in 8-12mm profiles, the strip sticks on the back, the slight width tolerance is uncritical.

Do I need heat sinks for LED strips?+

The aluminium profile IS the heat sink. Raw LED strips in a plastic or wood channel overheat during continuous operation and have significantly shorter lifetime. Aluminium profiles dissipate heat efficiently, the LEDs last their full 30,000-50,000 hour lifetime.
