The VYSN rope system is modular - two wire ropes, one transformer, any number of spots. A complete rope system consists of: 2 wire ropes (tensioned in parallel), 2 tensioners, 1 transformer (230V to low voltage), LED spots (any number), wall or ceiling mounts. For longer runs additionally intermediate tensioners against sagging. Optional: corner connectors (L/T/X junctions), pendant holders, cable isolators. VYSN offers all components in coordinated appearance.
Measure start and end point of the planned rope run. Add 10% reserve. Calculate 2 spots per running metre for general lighting, 1 spot per metre for accent lighting. Choose the transformer based on the total wattage of all spots plus 20% reserve. Our product consulting helps with concrete planning for your room.
No, the VYSN rope system runs on extra-low voltage (typically 24V DC). The transformer on the 230V side is normally grounded, the ropes themselves only carry low voltage and are safe to touch. This also simplifies installation - no special protective conductor needed in the rope system.
